Roger Tambay

Roger Tambay is a circular economy leader and the Chief Growth Officer of Natureworks LLC, the PLA global frontrunner since October 2024. Roger has built businesses in different sectors of the polymers and plastics industries. He founded a circular economy start up, FilmOrganic, in the agricultural sector and brought it to the expansion stage. He led Balcan Plastics, a medium-sized business that he transformed into a North American powerhouse in the flexible packaging industry, and renovated a polymers business within Eastman Chemical Company, resulting in economic success.  As a lawyer, a chemist and a trained businessman, Roger carefully analyzes the global circular economy legislative and normative trends to find areas where social, economic and environmental sustainability intersect – leading to impactful growth for Ingeo™ PLA. He earned a double degree in civil law and common laws, both from McGill University (Canada), an MBA from Concordia University (Canada) and a degree in Chemistry (Université de Montréal). He has worked in Canada, the US, and Europe. Roger is deeply enthusiastic about the potential of PLA and remains strongly committed to advancing the new era of the bioeconomy through innovation, collaboration, and the promotion of sustainable, bio-based materials.
