Barbara Duecker
Barbara Duecker holds a PhD in organic chemistry and added an educational course on economics for scientists.
She began her career at Clariant in the Household Care division, working in various roles, including in a synthesis lab on a major project with UL.
She later joined Propack, the private label subsidiary of Reckitt, where she led the Technical Customer Support team. Propack was unique, as product development and production were handled within Reckitt, requiring strong project management and negotiation skills. This role gave her valuable B2C and FMCG experience.
Following Propack’s closure, Barbara moved to Novozymes as Industry Technology Manager, combining technical customer support with collaboration on testing with institutes and consumer organizations.
Recognizing the challenge of balancing customer responsibilities with external partnerships, her focus shifted entirely to market insights.
Barbara Duecker has been with Novozymes/Novonesis since 2013 and is currently Senior Market Insights Specialist HHC Europe. Her responsibilities include market observation, participation in industry organizations, and managing test methods and consumer goods testing.
She has over 25 years of experience in the detergent industry, primarily in B2B, with additional experience in the consumer goods sector.
