John McNally

John McNally was appointed in October 2018 as CEO for Ineos’ Project One – the largest investment in European Petrochemicals in a generation. He is directly accountable to the owners of Ineos for the development of the Project Team and the ultimate delivery of the multi-billion euro New Olefins Complex in Antwerp, Belgium, which will fabricate 1.5 million tonnes of ethylene. He is based in Ineos’ global headquarters in Rolle, Switzerland.

Prior to his current role, John was the CEO of INEOS O&P UK, with overarching responsibility for the UK’s largest petrochemicals facility at Grangemouth, Scotland. Years and before that, Technology and Operations Director for INEOS Technologies, based in London. Prior to joining INEOS, John worked for BP for over 16 years in numerous technology management and business development roles across the UK, France, and the US.

John is a trained chemist, has a PhD in Chemistry from Harvard University and conducted post-doctoral studies at Oxford University.
