Johannes Berg is the Director for Corporate Affairs at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), a leading European logistics company specializing in port handling, container transport, and logistics services. Based in Hamburg, HHLA plays a vital role in connecting maritime and hinterland transport across Europe, supporting global trade and supply chains.

In his current role, Johannes is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that advance HHLA’s economic and political interests in business, politics, and society. He is also a key member of HHLA’s strategy team.

Before joining HHLA, Johannes founded and led the Digital Hub Logistics & Commerce in Hamburg, growing it into a major ecosystem for startups and innovation in the logistics sector. The Hub is recognized as a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), supported by the EU Commission.

Johannes studied International Relations in Dresden, Mexico City, and Kaliningrad and holds an Executive MBA in Innovation Management from Vlerick Business School (Belgium) and Stellenbosch University (South Africa). His career includes economic consultancy roles in Brussels, the Netherlands, and Ukraine. He lives in Hamburg, is a father, and enjoys cycling.
